The 2024 Christmas in July event at De Oude was a cinematic masterpiece, themed "A Night at the Movies." Guests were treated like Hollywood stars, arriving at the "premiere" of the fictional movie Christmas in July in Bedford. The experience began at the box office, where guests were handed glasses of glühwein and boxes of sweet popcorn as they made their way down the red carpet.

The evening kicked off with an exciting opening scene, complete with a movie screen and all. The biggest surprise came when a golf cart, bright green and mischievous, drove into the venue and crashed into the Christmas tree and gifts. To everyone's delight, it was none other than the Grinch, arriving to "steal" our Christmas in July event. The waitstaff, dressed as the Grinch's little helpers, entertained guests with a lively performance of singing and dancing that set the tone for a night of fun. Guests enjoyed snack boxes while listening to a live band perform classic movie songs, creating an atmosphere full of nostalgia and cheer.

The evening was crowned with a beautifully plated Christmas dinner, featuring pineapple-glazed ham, leg of lamb, and a decadent tipsy tart for dessert. Once again, our Christmas in July event proved to be the highlight of the winter season, warming hearts and lifting spirits. We've already started brainstorming next year's theme, so stay tuned— it's sure to be another unforgettable celebration!
